Swimming
Saturday pool
session on September 24th is a one hour session,
starting at 9:00.
We regret that the pool is
NOT available on Saturday 1st October.
With effect from October 8th, the session
cost will be £5, but we will be reverting to TWO-hour pool
sessions, running from 8:00 to 10:00. (The first 30 minutes of
the third Saturday of each month will normally be given over to
widths sessions for our juniors. Please contact Isabel if you
intend coming to these juniors sessions so she can plan
accordingly.)
Tri-Yoga Season 2 with Joan Stonehouse
Those that
attended the Season 1 classes already know that Joan gives clear
and precise instructions with excellent demonstrations, keeping
a light but focussed atmosphere.
We have five dates, starting on the day the clocks go back (so
you won't be out on a long ride):
-
30th
October 2011
-
27th
November 2011
-
11th
December 2011
-
15th
January 2012
-
5th
February 2012
All sessions
are on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Friends Meeting
House, Fonnereau Road, Ipswich.
Put them in your diary now!
Whilst
attending one class will help you, attending the full series
will pay dividends as you learn more techniques and progress to
advanced postures with regular practice.
The maximum class size is 25 people. Places should be booked in
advance with Susannah by e-mail to
susannah@ipswich-tri.org
- there is
priority booking for Ipswich Triathlon Club members, but if
places remain two weeks before the class, these will be open to
family and friends of members. The cost per class to club
members will be £5, non-members £8.

November, subject to our being able to have the normal room at
Greshams
Please
send any committee nominations to
charlie@ipswich-tri.org
by close of play Thursday 27th October (and
preferably before Thursday 20th which is when the
committee next meets so we know whether we need to start
twisting arms!), similarly any proposed changes to the
constitution.

if you are
interested in ordering a HOODY please contact John Wankowski
a.s.a.p.
Also - please remember that any kit vouchers issued during 2010
will expire in December this year.
County cross-country championships
The Eastern
Athletic Association 2011 Cross Country Championships will be on
Sunday 27th November, at the Royal Hospital School,
Holbrook. Unlike the league, this has to be entered in advance
on a team basis - so we will need to have a named co-ordinator
to make sure everything is done. If you are at interested in
taking this on please let me know a.s.a.p.
Fritton Lake Standard triathlon results?
If you did
Fritton Lake standard race and if you want your time taken into
consideration for the informal ITCH league (which is only
informal anyway), let me know your name, bib number and
position/time by close of play Thursday 13th October.

ITCH League -
current standings after events during July and August - now
available as a PDF.
It does NOT include scores from IM Frankfurt yet, nor have I yet
received a file for Frinton Standard.
Saturday
morning sessions at Wolverstone pool - September
10th Sept 8-10am (early start for 30
minutes or so of juniors width work - this has been brought forward from
the 17th to avoid clashing with some activities linked to the Tour of
Britain)
17th Sept 9-10am
24th Sept 9-10am
Open water swimming
Consensus is that the “secret
location” is now too cold/dark/weedy to continue for this year so that’s
it for 2011. Hopefully we’ll get the use of the site for 2012, but don’t
turn up on spec - it won’t be unlocked.

in the bar from about 8pm. Food is available from the bar until
about 9pm.
We also have access to
a local school's 25m pool for Saturday morning swim sessions,
usually during term times - click here
